System Backups

Filesystem Backups

A number of site filesystems and fileshares are periodically backed up onto tape media. The following tape media is used: Narrabri - LTO4 (800 to 1600 Gb - compressed mode)

Incremental backups are scheduled daily, with full backups occuring weekly (refer to the Backup Schedule below for more details).

The most relevant filesystems for local staff data and visitors are highlighted in red. Please note that files on local workstations are not backed up. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that work related files are stored in these filesystems and directories.
