Rimage 2000i CD-DVD Changeover Procedures

Introduction

this is just a very quick description of steps needed to change over the Rimage CD/DVD Robot from CD's to DVD's and vice versa.

Procedure

First a quick sidetrack, in order for your CD/DVD's to be produced the "Network Publisher" ( see below ) MUST be running, if not there is a short cut to start it located on the Desktop of the Windows PC "Carchiver" that is situated next to the Rimage device.

OK, the main program you need to be concerned with for the Rimage is the "Rimage System Manager" this may not be running ( it's not necessary for the normal day to day parts of automated CD/DVD Production ), but again there is a shortcut for it located on the Desktop of the Windows PC "Carchiver" that is situated next to the Rimage device. Once opened you should see the following ( below ) - for normal operation what you hope to see is all three "servers' ( Production, Imaging and Bridge ) listed as being "active.:

Swapping Production to CD/DVD or vice versa

Make sure that the appropriate media ( CD or DVD ) is loaded in the input bin ( left handed one as you face the machine ) In the System Manager Window click the "Rimage 2000i Settings" button ( as above ), the following should appear

in order to make changes the Production Server needs to be paused, do this by clicking the "pause" button pause

. You should then be able to change the media type listed in the "Media:" section ( see below - towards the bottom )

change to whatever media you are using ( don't forget to put it on top of the blank media, left hand bin ) and click "OK",it will then drop back to the main System Manager screen and you will notice that the Production Server is "paused", this needs to be reactivated before CD/DVD Production can proceed

click on "server info" listed under Production server and the following will appear

click the green "play" Play

button and then "back to Control Center", normal operation should proceed and the System Manager should appear as in the picture below. After this you should be able to proceed with the normal CD/DVD Production routine.
