Baseline Selection

Full or partial baseline/polarization combinations can be selected or de-selected. The format of this is `##xx', where `#' is an antenna number, thus `##' specifies a baseline. The `x' is a polarisation or IF (intermediate frequency) as shown in the next section.

Multiple baseline specifications may be concatenated together, using commas (`,') as delimiters. Antennas and baselines may also be negated using a minus (`-'). A maximum of 15 baselines can be selected. See also the array and suppress commands.

Further information about selecting baselines can be found by entering the command:
VIS$>$help vis baseline_selection

Following are some examples:

VIS$>$ select aa  Select all products for frequency 1, XX polarisation.
VIS$>$ select 35aa  Selects the baseline formed with IFs CA03/A1 and CA05/A1 (i.e., antennas 3 and 5 for frequency 1, polarisation X on each).
VIS$>$ select cc,-6  Selects all CC products (frequency 2, polarisation XX) for all baselines excluding any formed with antenna 6.
VIS$>$ select ab,cd  Selects the autocorrelations from every antenna.
