Emergencies

In the event of an emergency people's safety is the highest priority at all times. If it is safe to do so, you should endeavour to ensure that the Compact Array remains as safe as possible.

General Emergency Procedures:

$\bullet\,\,$Get the Duty Astronomer to help you.
 $\bullet\,\,$Stow the Compact Array.
CAOBS$>$ stow  in the CAOBS window and press the Return key.
 Or:
Use the elevation stow switch on the PMON rack.  Next to the Control Room.

First aid equipment is located in the Control Room and in the reception office on the ground floor of the Control Building.

The large red button in the Control Room labelled ``Emergency'' sounds an alarm all around the observatory and houses at the observatory.

The Fire Control Panel is located just inside the front door of the Control Building.
