LEGACY SERVER
The ATCA LEGACY SERVER (atcalegacyserver) communicates instructions from
CAOBS to the Antenna Control Computers (ACCs). The Legacy
Server runs on the linux machine XBONES. The output is normally displayed
on a XBONES xterm on PERICLES. The Legacy Server requires no user
interaction once started as it gets all its commands from CAOBS via a
network socket.
Occasionally (usually after an ACC has died or been rebooted) the Legacy Server
does not recover properly and needs to be restarted. Find the XBONES
Legacy Server X-term, stop the process with ctrl-C and:
| restart legacy server |
| XBONES> atcalegacyserver |
