Most Recent System Information

The ATCA is continually being upgraded. If anything has changed in such a way as to affect the observing procedures described in this manual, then an explanation appears on one of the noticeboards in the Control Room.

CHECK the Control Room whiteboard  In case recent developments affect your observations.

If there is anything written for any antenna, then that antenna may not be available. Check with the Duty Astronomer or local staff if in doubt.

Other important information, such as how to find the Duty Astronomer, emergency procedures, staff phone numbers and the current array configuration also appears on these noticeboards.

An `Expert's Folder' is also kept near Pericles. This contains documentation of power failure procedures, the ACCs, and new software in progress. It is regularly used by Duty Astronomers, and other experienced observers.
