For Pointing Scans
- In ATCASCHED:
- sctype: point
- pointing: refpnt (starts from global solution) or
update (starts from current offset parameters))
- In CAOBS:
- define which antennas are to be used.
- define which IFs is to be used
- define how long you want to spend on each step of the pointing pattern
- CATAG: ensure that it is running
- In CACOR: If using a maser pointing source, the channel range
has to be selected. (tvchan).
- In CAMON: load the /point page to check results.
For Scans using the offsets
- In ATCASCHED:
- sctype: Not point.
- pointing: offset.
Note: Offset will use the pointing offsets from the previous
scan, so, if pointing is set to global at any point, the offsets are
no longer in the system.
(They can be recovered with ppfix in CAOBS with knowledge
of the appropriate CATAG point com record: the current
CATAG point com record can be found on the /point page of
CAMON.)
