xbones-ACC Communications Problems

There are a number of reasons for communication problems between XBONES and the ACCs: For information on the mechanics of the connection between ACC and XBONES see on page .

The first you may know of problems is CAOBS failing to accept keyboard entry. Check whether the ACC has crashed by looking at the images on ATDRIVEMON. A crashed ACC has a `warped' image. See on page .

However, problems are very commonly caused by communication program problems. The recommended approach for sorting out ACC and ACC Communications problems is:

• Check if the ACC has crashed by checking if there is a `warped' image on the ATDRIVEMON display: If it is war[ed, reset the ACC, see .
• If the ACC is not obviously dead the first attempt at recovery is to restart the ATDAEMON. See .
• If this fails to recover your observing, the next task to restart is the Legacy Server. See .
• And if you are still in trouble, you can try restarting _SERVER. See for for information on restarting this.
