RT Hung

The Round Trip Phase Measurement Program (rt) occasionally hangs. To check this, examine the rt display (on the PhaseTransfer PC in the screened room). Numbers should be scrolling up the screen - talk with the Duty Astronomer if you are unsure. The effect on your data is not fatal (particularly at lower frequencies), however your phase will degrade with time. You may want to ask the Duty Astronomer to restart rt (instructions are on the monitor) however, the phase measurements on either side of a rt restart are independent (i.e., separate calibration is necessary) so you may prefer to leave the system inactive until the end of your observation.
