Scans are Not Cycling

First and foremost - be patient, as it can take about a minute for any request to be processed. However, if you suspect that your scans are not cycling (i.e., the observations are not proceeding normally and the antennas are automatically not moving from source to source) here are some things you can check to confirm it:

CHECK the VIS display: are visibilities being added every 10 to 30 seconds?
CHECK that the Cycle field on CAOBS is incrementing.
CHECK that you received the ``Scan started'' messages on CAOBS.
CHECK the CACOR window: is the 3rd section of the CACOR window updating every few seconds?
CHECK the CACOR window: are ``FILE Scan Header'' messages appearing on CACOR with each new scan?

If scans are not cycling, the possibilities include:

your schedule file has run its course.
Restart the schedule with the command:

CAOBS$>$start n/m  Where n is the scan number at which you wish to start and m is the number of times you want to cycle through the entire schedule. Set m to a large number like 100.
your source is in transit through the zenith.
This will happen for sources with declination between $-$29°and $-$31°. Stop the scan (CAOBS$>$stop) and go to a different source (eg your calibrator) for ten minutes. Alternatively, just wait and the system will sort itself out eventually.
you have driven the antennas to an azimuth wrap limit.
Consult the Duty Astronomer, who will help you drive the antennas around (CAOBS$>$wrap north/south) so that they are heading towards the other wrap limit. Alternatively, just wait and the system will sort itself out eventually.
