The ATCA Seeing Monitor comprises two reinforced commercial 1.8-m parabolic dishes with a baseline of about 230m detecting a 30-GHz beacon signal emitted by the Optus-B3 communications satellite.
The signals from these two dishes are used to determine an estimate of ATCA atmospheric phase stability.
