ATDAEMON
The ATDAEMON collects various monitoring information from the antennas
and disseminates this to other parts of the system. Some of the main services
of the ATDAEMON are:
- Collecting monitor point values from the antenna ACCs and sending them
to the MP/SMALL>_SERVER so that CAOBS, CAMON etc on the VAXes can
use the data.
- Collecting high data rate information about antenna drives and sending
this to any instances of atdrivemon which may be running See
on page
for information on
ATDRIVEMON. In some driving modes, information is also sent to the VAXes
- Receiving log messages from various parts of the system (primarily Legacy
Server and the ACCs) and distributing these messages to any instances of ATLOGOBS
which may be running
ATDAEMON runs on XBONES, normally as a background (daemon) process
without a dedicated xterm on PERICLES.
