Communications Between the VAX and the ACCs
The communications between the observer and antenna is through a set of
computers and tasks as described below.
- Command issued from CAOBS (on XBONES) transferred to the
LEGACY SERVER on XBONES;
- LEGACY SERVER on XBONEScommunicates with the ACCs
- ACC further transfers the commands to the appropriate hardware in the antenna;
- ACC collects data (monitor points) from the antenna hardware about the actual
state of the antenna hardware;
- (ATDRIVEMON and ATLOGOBS running on FURIOUS
(or KAPUTAR) displays this flow of information to the observer)
- This is communicated back to the ATDAEMON on XBONES
- This is then returned to MPSERVER on XBONES which dumps it into the
XBONES obscom common area and thus back to CAOBS as well as CAMON,
ASSISTANCE etc.

XBONES-ACC Communications: the ACCs are in the antennas, the other tasks run on xbones.
