Where to Stay in Sydney

The cheapest and closest place to stay while visiting the ATNF Sydney headquarters is the on-site Lodge. The on-site Lodge consists of six single bedrooms and two double rooms, each with their own bathroom. There is also a communal lounge and laundry. Visitors can cook their own meals in the communal kitchen area. Alternatively, the nearby El Rancho hotel (corner of Epping and Herring roads) offers a `bistro', where an evening meal costs $10 - $20. The Eastwood Rugby Club, across Vimiera Road from the CTIP laboratory has a restaurant open Tuesday to Saturday, 12-2pm and 6-9pm.

Information and prices can be found, and other practical details (maps, restaurants, banks, shops and cinemas) pertinent to a visit to Marsfield can be found on the Sydney Headquarter Visitors page. It also includes information about other accommodation options.

To book accommodation at the Marsfield Lodge fill in the www-based ATNF Reservation Form t http://www.atnf.csiro.au/observers/accomm

For direct enquiries about the Marsfield Lodge, or help attaining long-term rental accommodation, please email: accommodation@atnf.csiro.au.

If you need to make long distance calls after hours, try to arrange a credit card with your home system before leaving. Alternatively phone cards ($10 or $20) allowing you to dial from any phone are widely available (for how to obtain phone cards). Some public phones also take credit cards.
