C007 project
Aims
The C007 project has broad ranging aims:- Provide flux density calibrators for centimetre and millimetre observations.
- Characterise the departure of phase calibrators from being point sources, and track their flux density.
- Gather improved positions of existing calibrators.
- Improve the calibrator grid, particularly at the shorter wavelengths.
- Provide web tools and assist in providing off-line software tools to access calibrator information.
Observations
C007 uses both scheduled and "filler" time to monitor calibrators. C007 is the perfect filler project, as it can observe at a frequency dictated by hardware or weather constraints, it is useful in any array configuration, and it an antenna or two being unavailable does not impact upon it greatly.Reduction and Results
A series of scripts are being written to reduce the data using miriad and to generate a web interface to the catalogue information.Other Links
- The AT.CAT catogue. This was the original ATCA calibrator manual. It has been superceded by the on-line manual. The format of AT.CAT this is described here.
