VLBI - Narrabri scheduling procedure
- Set Averaging=10
- Extend the first source into the setup time or schedule 1934 or 0823
first so we can run CAOBS while we set up.
- SINGLE FREQUENCY OBSERVING
- Set Frequency 1 to the centre of the observing band. This also applies to 12.2 GHz methanol VLBI.
- Set Bandwidth 1 to the required bandwidth ( 4, 8, 16 MHz ).
- Set the Correlator configuration file to:
- FULL_4_1024 for 4 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_8_512 for 8 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_16_512 for 16 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_8_512 for 8 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_4_1024 for 4 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- TWO FREQUENCY OBSERVING
- Set Frequency 1 to the centre of the observing band. This also applies to 12.2 GHz methanol VLBI. Set Frequency 2 = Frequency 1 unless we want to do a different frequency.
- Set Bandwidth 1 to the required bandwidth ( 4, 8, 16 MHz ). Set Bandwidth 2 = 128 MHz.
- Set the Correlator configuration file to:
- FULL_4_1024-128 for 4 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_8_512-128 for 8 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_16_256-128 for 16 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_8_512-128 for 8 MHz bandwidth VLBI
- FULL_4_1024-128 for 4 MHz bandwidth VLBI
